The conference fee includes conference materials, USB proceedings, publication of 1 contribution in the proceedings, refreshments during the two days of the meeting (coffee, tea, mineral water); lunches on February 9 and 10, 2023; and entry to the social evening on February 9, 2023.

The author should indicate the thematic area for a contribution in the abstract. The paper can be written in one of the conference's negotiating languages: Slovak, Czech or English.

Accepted contributions will be reviewed and published in the electronic conference proceedings.

Selected papers will be recommended for a reduced publication fee for publication in the scientific journal Civil and Environmental Engineering CEE

Consent of the person concerned to the processing of personal data

In accordance with Article 6 par. 1 and Article 7 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR "), as the person concerned, I give the University of Žilina in Žilina, ID: 00397563, Univerzitná 8215/1, 010 26 Žilina (hereinafter also "UNIZA" or the "operator") consent to the processing of personal data for the needs of the 14th edition of the Geosynthetics 2023 conference (hereinafter only "event") as follows:

a) name, surname, postal and e-mail address, ID number and VAT number based on Art. 6 par. 1. letter
b) of Regulation for the purpose of signing up and registering participants at the event and processing the list,
C) photographs, based on Art. 6 par. 1 letter a) of Regulation for the purpose of informing and promoting the event through the website and Facebook page of the UNIZA Faculty of Civil Engineering, the website and Facebook page of the Department of Geotechnics of the UNIZA Faculty of Civil Engineering, the website of the Geosynthetics 2023 conference, the Spravodajca magazine,

for the duration of: the duration of the stated processing purpose or until the withdrawal of this consent.

At the same time, the person concerned declares that

  • the person gave this consent of their own free will, without any coercion and without any conditions from the operator unrelated to this consent
  • the operator informed that he has the right to withdraw this consent at any time as easily as he gave it, the withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the processing based on the consent before its withdrawal,
  • the person provided her personal data to the operator voluntarily and the operator provided her with information in accordance with Article 13 par. 1 and 2 GDPR even before it was provided.

Information on the processing of personal data according to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, which repeals Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation data), hereinafter referred to as "GDPR"

1. The affected person acknowledges that UNIZA will process personal data to the extent indicated in the electronic form where participants will be registered for the 14th year of the Geosynthetics 2023 conference (hereinafter referred to as the "event"); this is personal data:

a) first and last name, postal and e-mail address, ID number and VAT number,

b) photograph of the person concerned.

2. The purpose of processing personal data, which will be provided in the electronic form, is the registration of the affected persons at the event, creation of visual records that can be published for internal purposes of UNIZA through the website and Facebook page of the Faculty of Civil Engineering UNIZA, the website and Facebook page of the Department of Geotechnics of the Faculty of Civil Engineering UNIZA, the website of the Geosynthetics 2023 conference, the magazine Spravodajca.

3. Legal basis:

a) Art. 6, par. 1 letter a) GDPR – processing based on written consent,

b) Art. 6 par. 1 letter f) GDPR - legitimate interest of the operator, consisting in informing the public about UNIZA's focus, presentation and promotion of UNIZA.

4. In case of failure to provide personal data necessary for Geosynthetics 2023, UNIZA will not be able to include the person in the list of participants.

6. The provided personal data will be kept for the necessary time necessary for the purpose of their provision and the fulfilment of UNIZA's obligations regarding archiving established by legal regulations and in accordance with the current Registry Regulations. The operator does not take any legal responsibility for video and audio recordings made and published by persons other than UNIZA. The person concerned acknowledges that data from printed publications cannot be deleted retroactively.

7. UNIZA informs the affected persons - participants of the event about the following rights arising from the GDPR and Act no. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data and on the amendment of certain laws:

a) the right to request the access from UNIZA to the provided personal data, obtaining confirmation that its personal data is being processed and related information,

b) the right to correct personal data in case of incorrect or incomplete personal data,

c) the right to delete personal data, if the legal prerequisites enabling the deletion of personal data are met ("the right to be forgotten"),

d) the right to limit the processing of personal data, if the legal prerequisites for limiting the processing of personal data are met,

e) the right to withdraw your consent at any time, the withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of processing based on consent before its withdrawal,

f) the right to object to the processing of personal data, which is carried out on the basis of a legitimate interest according to Article 6, paragraph 1 letter f) GDPR for the contact details of the responsible person listed in paragraph 5,

g) the right to portability of personal data provided to UNIZA, if the legal prerequisites enabling the portability of personal data are met,

h) the right to submit a proposal to the Office for the Protection of Personal Data, the purpose of which is to find out whether there has been a violation of the rights of natural persons during the processing of their personal data or a violation of applicable legislation.

8. UNIZA confirms that the provided personal data is not processed through automated individual decision-making and profiling.

9. UNIZA confirms that the transfer of personal data to third countries (outside the EU and EEA countries) or international organizations does not take place.
